Founded by industry leaders, L49 is vertically integrated with a proven track record of completed projects exceeding $10 billion.
Paul brings more than two decades of investment banking experience to his role of leading L49’s capital raising efforts, investor relations and other strategic initiatives. As Managing Director & Head of U.S. Debt Origination at Scotiabank, Paul raised more than $250 billion for debt IPOs, refinancings, private placements, acquisitions and leveraged buyouts for major global corporations including REITs and Hospitality Issuers throughout North America, Europe, and Australasia. Paul also has extensive expertise in regulatory, audit and governance issues in investment banking, having served on multiple oversight boards throughout his career. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a BA from McGill University.
As industry leaders serving a premium clientele throughout the Tri-State area and beyond, the Caulfield brothers each have more than 25 years of experience in all facets of development and construction, specifically multifamily, mid- and highrise projects. Their in-depth knowledge and firm handling of the development process includes land acquisition, financing, managing approvals and permitting, environmental clean-up, construction, and overseeing the lease-up and management of completed assets. Jim and Rob are also partners in Fields Grade Development and KL Masters Construction.
Greg is a real estate development professional with more than 30 years of experience. He is also a partner in Fields Grade Development and was principal at Ironstate Development for over 25 years. At Ironstate, Greg focused on the development and financing of more than 7,000 units and $5 billion worth of projects in the Tri-State Area.
Jonathan is responsible for deal origination and underwriting. He is also principal of Park Stone Management, a real estate development company founded in 2014, where he focuses on multifamily value-add and development deals ranging in scope from boutique condo to large-scale 400-unit projects in several markets across the US, most notably the greater NY area. Jonathan holds an MS in Real Estate Finance & Investments from NYU and a BA from McGill University.
Kyle is president of KL Masters Construction Company (“KLMCC”), a full-service general contractor that specializes in complex mixed-use and multifamily development projects ranging in size from 4 to 30 stories. With clients in the Tri-State and Northeastern US region, the KLMCC portfolio includes active or completed projects in excess of $2.5 billion and 9,000 apartments. Kyle holds a BA in Architecture and a BS in Construction Sciences & Management from Clemson University.
Gretchen’s two decades of experience in multifamily and mixed-use projects includes the execution of more than 7,000 units and $3.5 billion worth of projects in the Tri-State area, Washington DC, Texas, Colorado, Nevada, and California. As executive vice president at Ironstate Development, Gretchen was responsible for the full cycle of development of multifamily, hospitality, and retail projects. Additionally, she oversaw the development portfolio and operating assets of the “Urby” platform, a brand of apartment living focused on maximizing revenue per square foot while providing a curated living experience. She holds a degree in civil engineering from Villanova University.
